In this black farce, Tabori conjures his mother from the past into the present of the theatre.  Walking a tightrope between tragedy and comedy, he tells the true story of a summer day in 1944 Budapest when his mother is arrested and put on a train to be deported ...and how, through great courage and luck, she escapes.
