At 21, Solange Liza is already an accomplished performer. The year 2008 found her onstage in Iryonabonye and Rwanda Nziza for FESPAD, as well as in The Monument with ISÔKO, for which she composed and sang original music, as she did for Mashirika Arts' Tunakupenda Sana Afrika, among others. Film roles include a lead role in the British short film We are All Rwandans directed by Debs Gardiner, and the French feature Zone Turquoise.
Her singing talents as Kamikaze Liza have taken her to Nairobi where she recorded an album which will be released later on this year. She has ten singles out on local radio stations, and her latest Usiniache Baby is all the rage on East African TV.
Solange Liza been active in theatre in the Congo, having performed in the Bukavu Participatory Theatre Festival, and in the Reconcilliation Festival, Uvira. She has also directed for the stage, with the troupe Les Stars du Théâtre, and was twice been voted Best Female Artist at the National University of Rwanda, where she is currently completing her degree in Journalism.
