Emmanuel Munyarukumbuzi

Workshop Director

Emmanuel was born and raised in Rwanda, and completed a degree in Communications at the National University of Rwanda.

He translated The Monument into Kinyarwandan, acts as Facilitator for our talk backs, and recently completed his first play, Le Monstre.

For Amizero Contemporary Dance, Manou has been an interpreter of choreography and a dancer of Rwandan traditional dance. He heads Compagnie des Arts Vivants, a seasonal arts company. He has been a theatre trainer for Never Again Rwanda since 2007, and works as a producer at Rwanda Television; packaging, writing scripts, and editing shows.

As an actor and dancer, Manou promotes conflict resolution, poverty reduction and humanitarian issues by creative and innovative means. He is fluent in Kinyarwanda, French, English, Swahili and Spanish, and plans on creating projects which entertain and educate, especially around health and humanitarian issues.
